Make: Promaster Relative Power @ 50mm1: 1.4× Key Features: tilt/swivel reflector with manual zoom, second flash reflector, modular system Reasons to Buy: Cheapest option with a secondary reflector. Notable Drawbacks: Manual zoom only. No advanced features. |
This flash is not currently available at large online stores in the US. |
The secondary reflector on this is far less powerful than that on the Metz flashes, but is still interesting. Even when you add in the cost of the Pentax module, this is the cheapest you'll find that feature. The interface is designed for manual control, even including a mechanical calculator for flash power. This is somewhat unique for the flashes in this guide — generally they are newer models designed primarily for automatic control, with manual flash as an afterthought (if available at all).
